Brain Injury

As with all our care provision our services are designed to be completely bespoke, with person centred planning at the core of what we do. The following aspects of Lime Tree House are more pertinent for people who have experienced an acquired brain injury; this list is not exhaustive and available services will be increased according to individual need.

  • Orientation signs around the home, using both words and images
  • Hoisting equipment and disabled toilet and bathing facilities
  • Lift enabling wheelchair access to all floors and facilities
  • Health and fitness activities both within the home and accessing local health centres
  • Mixed team of nursing specialists with training in Mental Health, General Nursing and Learning Disability.
  • Access to a rehabilitation kitchen designed to develop independence and to reflect typical equipment found in a home
  • Regular access to community facilities to include local social clubs, libraries, pubs, restaurants garden centres and shops
  • Regular theatre trips and day trips
  • All staff are trained in non abusive psychological and physical interventions
  • Alignment to a local GP surgery to promote continuity in medical support
  • Separate lounges to enable quiet and energised environments
  • Large en-suite wet room to every bedroom
  • We have access to the hydrotherapy pool at the local football stadium
  • There are a range of professionals who visit Lime Tree House to include opticians, chiropodist/podiatrist, community nurses, and access to speech and language therapists and outreach teams from both Chesterfield Royal Hospital and Ash Green.
  • Raised Borders in gardens and level access to patio and lawn areas.
